an outspoken midwestern gal living in nashville, tn
Since I was a kid, Iโve always been endlessly creative - diving into everything from event design to sewing and photography.
I know what itโs like to feel sheer excitement (& a little overwhelm) when you decide to share your dream idea with the world, and prepping all the things that goes into launching it. I create resources, templates, and ready-to-launch brand packages to help you quickly + effortlessly share your work online.
If youโve launched your idea, but youโre ready for a brand + website that reflects where youโre at in your business, Iโd love to uplevel the visuals to support that new level.
As I continue to build the life of my dreams, Iโm passionate about helping creatives like me to try new things, expand their horizons & find an outlet for their creativity โ and to not be afraid to fail along the way. If you can relate, be sure to reach out on Instagram so we can be internet-pals!
my why
I lost my dad suddenly when I was 21, and it changed the trajectory of my life. It really set in that we donโt have time to waste - we canโt wait for retirement, or even next year to really live the life we want.
My goal is to create a life I love, a career Iโm excited about & a legacy worth leaving behind.
Iโm passionate about
Becoming the best version of myself | Trying new hobbies + DIY projects | Meeting new people + making connections | Listening, learning + being an ally | Traveling + experiencing the world | spending time with my family + niece Margot ๐ค
my creative journey
-
My mom taught me to sew when I was young and I became enamored with creating my own designs. My first - a shoulder bag, made with bright colored quilting fabric that I used until it wore out!
I went off to Iowa State to study Creative Design in their Apparel, Merchandising Design & Production program. I started with the focus of creative design, spending hours in the sewing labs creating clothes. In my last year, I wanted to expand my studies and I graduated with a degree in product development.
-
2 weeks after my college graduation, I packed + moved to Los Angeles with a Costuming internship on the show, Torchwood. I spent that year working on so many film/TV projects, thanks to the wonderful costume designers who hired me + taught me so much.
With my love for music + dreams of styling musical artists, I relocated to Nashville, TN in 2011. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to style artists such as for KING & COUNTRY, Julie Roberts, Kyle Cook (Matchbox 20), amongst others.
-
Needing a creative outlet while working in the music industry, I learned to hand-dye, sew and hand-letter accessories. I named my business NASHchic, with the focus of creating witty + sparkly items (wine bags, pillows, makeup bags, coasters, etc) that could be customized as gifts.
-
Through the process of launching NASHchic, I had created the branding, social strategy and Squarespace website to showcase my new products! It was a full circle moment - my high school schedule had been stacked full with graphic design classes at the local community college + I had been using Adobe since I was 14.
Having had so much fun creating my brand, I made the decision to pivot and help other entrepreneurs launch their ideas into the world through branding and web design - which leads us here today! :)
-
For the past 5+ years, I've been providing brands of all stages, from fresh startups to well-established ventures, visual assets to radiate their unique talents + stand out in the spotlight.
As a full-service creative studio, I am focused on crafting bold designs for the innovators that are ready to take on the next level of their business.
